Two or three teams, a load of mixed percussion. One overly enthusiastic host/teacher. 10 challenges. A lot of cheesy songs. Possibly quite a bit of rivalry!
Paul Richards combines his skills developed as an acclaimed drum/percussion teacher alongside his award-winning theatre background to present a lively, but still (kind of...) educational team building experience. Effectively a game show with drums, you and your colleagues will learn basic rhythms and exercises covering as many genres of music as possible, before competing against each other in a series of fun, creative rhythmical challenges.
It's a battle of concentration, timing, trust and, for a tiny bit of it, a test of your pop music knowledge. If drumming was a sport (which, Paul argues, it should be...) this would be the sports day. The perfect opportunity to get everyone back into the office, or for a company social, this light-hearted, if noisy, session is perfect for morale and confidence boosting. Gone are the days of boring team building sessions, it's time to whack things!
No previous drumming experience necessary, all equipment provided on the day - just provide a room where we can be nice and loud (the set up is one full drum kit for the ‘centre piece’ challenges and approximately 20 pieces of smaller percussion) and Paul can take it from there.
The session length is tailored around your needs - it’s usually an hour and a bit but allow longer if we’re enjoying ourselves, which we will!
